Danawa Resources Sdn. Bhd. (Danawa) is a 100% Bumiputera organisation based in Sarawak. We are dedicated towards assisting the State and Federal Governments to bridge the digital divide through the implementation of a holistic ICT development framework.
Part of our mission is to bring world-class learning methods, certification and accreditation to improve ICT literacy, skilled development and education of our children, so that they can benefit from the Internet connectivity provided through the Sarawak Rural Broadband Initiative (SRBI). Our key educational initiatives complement the core competencies imparted by Ministry of Education’s core curriculum in our schools.
Since 2001, Danawa has continuously implemented computer education and other ICT content and applications to cater to our underprivileged children in rural and underserved communities in Sarawak. One of the highlights of our educational initiatives is the Cambridge ICT Starters (CIS) program, which was developed over the years together with the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
CIS program is a world-class skill-based program designed to introduce to students the key ICT applications needed to acquire ICT literacy and to understand the impact of technology on our daily lives. The course modules are endorsed and accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
